E-book reader improvements

  1. I would like to browse my book collection by the directories I have them organized in, not just one long list.
  2. I would like more size options for the text. The middle one is just a bit too large, but the small one is way too small for my taste.
  3. The percentage at the bottom eats up too much screen real estate. This could be replaced by a progress bar pasted to the bottom of the screen and another line should fit on he screen.

Have you tried KoReader? Bit of a learning curve but I really like the customization and it’s built for eink phones. Works great.

Actually, I have. But thanks for the tip. However, I like the simplicity of the stock e-book reader and I think the text looks better.

KoReader IMO isn’t really optimized for the very small screen of the Kompakt.

KOReader can be configured to work better for the Kompakt’s screen, if you dig around in settings you can remove some of the elements that crowd the reading UI. But it would be nice if the stock e-reader could be configured to have better contrast and also fix the bug where it greys out the lock screen.
