I am using QUIK app for my messaging since the group messaging on the stock app is basically non-funcitonal. However I keep getting duplicate notifications when I get a text message. In the picture attached it says I have 2 messages when I only recieved one. And this will increase, if I have like 4 messages it will say I have 8 messages or more. Does anyone know how to fix this?

What OS version are you on right now?
The latest. group messaging will just message each person in the group chat individually.

That’s just the default setting. You can change it from Separate SMS Chats to Single MMS Group Chat.

But you said you are using QUIK because of group messaging not working properly in the default SMS application. However, I’ve shown you that it “isn’t working properly” for you because you have not selected the correct setting. In theory, if you select the correct setting in the default SMS application, you won’t even need to use QUIK anymore and will no longer have the duplicate notifications issue.
But if you insist on using QUIK and want to stop the duplicate notifications, I suggest turning off notifications for the default SMS application in your Android settings (using something like Activity Manager or inkOS).

Where would I turn off the notifications for default SMS? I have inkOS but I dont see anything regarding notifications. And how could I do it in activity manager?
