Is this saying if i set a birthday for this year it won’t be there for the next year?
Yeah I am pretty sure thats what it means
Well that’s a bummer
Yes, that’s very much a bummer.
Yeah I use repeating events a lot, taking kids to extra curricular events etc so not happy about the calendar not having that option, but HOPING we get this fixed sooner than later
Yes, the birthday example is what I meant by repeating events. I have to believe this will be fixed in a future update, so I’m not super worried about it. Since there are plans to sync with Apple and Gmail calendars (which have repeating events), I assume that will be changed.
I couldn’t see my Sony headphones yet but maybe I forgot I must press something for them to be advertised, we’ll see.
Edit: ya, I forgot the way. Works like a charm.
Tested with Sony as well and works great. So only an AirPods issue which isn’t surprising
@brendxn Yup, not surprising at all. Apple is notorious about not playing well with other devices
I have a few issues:
- My Macbook does not recognize my MK. It did for the first time, but now it simply does not show up in the mudita app. It makes a sound when plugging in. I tried restarting both devices. (However I tried on another windows laptop, there it works as an USB device without the mudita app)
- When I call someone, my number is “unkown”. How can i set this?
- +1 for fingerprint button being to sensitive. Only responding when pushed would be nice!
- +1 for adjustable screen saver
- +1 for not being able to upload music via the mudita app, and also for enabling folders for artists/albums
Just to make sure I’m understanding this correctly- Your Mudita Kompakt is not recognized by Mudita Center OR your Mac Computer?
Both: when I connect my MK via the USB cable to my Mac, it makes a sound, but it does not appear in the app, nor as an external drive in the Finder.
Do you have any solution to caller number not showing?
For the first time since, well, the day before the iPhone 3G launched in the UK 17 years ago, yesterday I left the house and went to work without an iPhone!
Didn’t feel as odd as I expected given I’ve already reduced my use of it to the bare minimum. Didn’t miss it in the slightest apart from when I instinctively went to use Apple Pay in a shop, ha! I’m fine going back to using the contactless card.
I’m a simple user of the Kompakt, no sideloading, and very satisfied with it. The tweaks I would like so see have already been mentioned elsewhere on the forum, but are chiefly these;
-Fingerprint button is extremely sensitive, have to deliberately position my hand if I don’t want to trigger it.
-Optional permanent clock instead of the Mudita logo on lockscreen
-Indication of unread sms/missed calls on lockscreen. I understand some may not want this, but the option would be nice given I personally will leave it around the house untouched for hours, often out of earshot. Currently I have to turn it on to check. I’m not super vigilant about texts, people are used to minimal, late responses from me, but I would prefer a glance than a physical action.
-Meditation app, more granular times. 5 minute increments would be fine. I notice you can get granular with the alarm, it’s not that obvious given you press on the minutes to be more specific. I half expected the same from the meditation app.
In summary though, I’m very happy with it. It does feel a bit 1.0, but luckily that’s pretty much all I want from it apart from a few tweaks here and there.
Any response on this? Caller ID? Mac issues? Thanks.
Also, when trying to read a QR code on a screen (eg laptop) MK does not read it. Does anyone else has this issue? For print QR codes it worked fine.
I succeeded last week at using my sideloaded Session app to read a QR code on a laptop screen.
@nyitray Mac & Androids don’t always play well together- however, it should be recognized by Mudita Center. I actually had this issue (even though I have a PC) and it was resolved when I switched USB cables. So here are some things to try:
- Try a different USB cable
- Try a different USB outlet
- uninstall & re-install the latest version on Mudita Center for MacOS.
If none of these help- if there is a way for you to try it on a PC- that would help because this way we could know if this is a Mudita Center issue or a Kompakt issue.
Thankfully my work computer is a windows computer or I would be in the same boat!
When my kompakt gets here (next week right @urszula ) I can use it to update the Kompakt
It wouldn’t shock me if the issue is the cable (assuming switching hasn’t already been tried). One of the biggest issues with USB cables is there isn’t an obvious differentiation between power only and data + power cords
@rowancne I 100% agree. I ended up buying this super-duper industrial USB cable because standard cables were just so hit & miss.
