Customized my Offline+ switch ;)

…and a screen protector as well. E Ink screens are known to be vulnerable, especially on small, mobile devices which get to deal with all sorts of forces while residing in pockets of ones pants…

Actually this is almost a legal case

I bought a case with the phone but quickly abandoned it. I just found it so difficult to get the phone in and out of my pockets since it’s a thicker phone and the case is so very grippy. I don’t regret abandoning the case but I suppose I might blame womens’ pants pockets more than the case itself.

I 1000% agree with getting a screen protector though.

There are less grippy cases. Well, less on grippy on the back, more grippy on the side. More to follow soon…

I just got the pebble grey case for my black kompakt and I love it, I don’t keep the phone on my pocket that much hate having a phone in my pocket, usually carry a hiking bag with me and keep it in the side pocket. I actually hate carry a phone in my pocket. Just reminds me of when I carried a smartphone constantly around. I miss the days when we were completely phone free so when i am out and about I keep my phone away from me as much as possible to give myself this experience. Also when I am at home. I hate being tethered to a phone even if its a dumb phone

I totally share the sentiment. Unfortunately (for medical reasons) I need to have a phone within reach 24/7 otherwise I can no longer live on myself with my 18-year old son.

Have you heard of Mudita Breath…

I hadn’t yet. Will definitely check it out. Thanks! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@anon43857326 It was an initiative Mudita did 6 years ago, during. If you google “Mudita Breath” you can also read about it in outside publications.

We were all over the media with it

A good case has two functions for Mudita Kompakt. First one is clear, to protect the phone itself. Second thing is to avoid accidential shifting of the Offline+ switch. After first trial with sticky original Mudita case, I ended up with a case from Nakedcellphone and this is a perfect match. It feels good and the switch stays where it is. The screen protector completes this dream team. I still have two cases for Sale in EU. You can read the full review here: Nakedcellphone case and bifold wallet combo? - #16 by MicKitten

Just read the story, impressive to read about the contribution that Mudita made during the pandemic.

As mentioned before, there’s a no ‘accidently shifting of the Offline+ button’ in my case. It’s fully pushed up in the online position without space to wiggle yet it frequently goes berserk and starts uncontrollably toggle between online and offline. Btw, I own the same cases and the issue presented itself with both, so it’s fair to conclude that his has everything to do with a faulty switch and nothing to with the case around it.

where did you buy it? When I order it from the mudita site. the shipping costs are higher than the screenprotector itself

Seems like you’re reacting to me, but not sure what you’re asking me about.

I bought several screenprotectors (the are 3 Kompakts in my household, so I order multiple at a time). I ordered multiple when I orderded my Mudita’s (and covers as well) so shipping was free. Then I discovered that we have an authorized reseller in The Netherlands for the Benelux, which charges no shipping costs when you order for €29 or more (at least in The Netherlands, maybe there’s a fee if you’re in Belgium, Luxembourg or Germany). So look for an authorized reseller, check on Amazon whether they sell Mudita and accessories in your country. Hope this answers your question, otherwise let me know.

Thanks.! I’m from the Netherlands as well. What is the name of the reseller you bought it?

The authorized Mudita reseller for The Benelux (Belgium, The Netherlands & Luxembourg) and I think Germany in the meantime as well, but I’m not completely sure, is Harmonise My Life, https://www.harmonisemylife.com. They have a physical store in Utrecht as well.

Ok, I’ve been having trouble with the offline+ switch accidentally switching on while going in and out of my pocket etc. and this past month it’s been accidentally switching on a LOT so I worry it might be getting easier and easier to switch. Well my phone is already SOOOO busted up anyway so today I decided to just cut off the switch with an razor blade.

Funny ! I did exactly the same few months ago as I was completely frustrated to miss calls when putting it in my pocket.
I also made small notch in the middle of the button so that I can toggle it with my fingernail.
Since then, I have the feeling to be reachable again ;o)

I thought the easy auto switch was a feature so people would leave me alone
