Custom transit app for MK

So I don’t have any transit app that works on the Mudita Kompakt in my area (Montréal).

Here Wego actually worked, but I had a bug multiple times which made it impossible to use. Updating didn’t fix this. So I was searching for something more reliable.

I found that I could use Here’s API (or another) to make a step-by-step text instructions transit app, such as:

  1. Walk 5 min (400m) to Bus Stop “Laurier / St-Denis”
  2. Take Bus 51 Est at 8:05am
  3. Ride for 8 minutes (5 stops)
    …

I was interested in building this using Mudita Mindful Design framework like the other guy that made the CalmApps. But I’m a total beginner and I am very busy with school.

I might do this when my session is over, but I’m posting here to see if someone else is interested in the project- I’m sure other people here would enjoy this. If any of the developpers here are willing to make it, that would be awesome. If not, maybe I could get some kind of help.

Sounds great. I think the app Oeffi (originally for german public transportation) is open source and could be forked if this makes it easier.
