I really like the default sounds, but I’m looking for a more minimal, clicky sound specifically for message notifications.
Has anyone managed to add/sideload custom notification sounds to the Kompakt? Any tips or workarounds would be appreciated!

@synthwraith Check out the DRUM notification sound on Kompakt. That’s what I use for my texts. It’s quiet enough that it’s not distracting, but still I hear it.

Personally, I’d “REALLY” like to have an option of “No sound”. I find little more stressful than a naggy beepy phone. I’m happy to check my phone in my own time. But I can’t see a way of having “no sound”, without muting the whole thing and then not getting any phone call sound either. I went as far as diving into the file system to see if I could replace one of the fixed sound files with an empty mp3/wav, but it seems these are embedded in the OS and the UI and can’t be changed. This surprises me, because it turns out my Mudita is far more noisy than my main smartphone, especially at night due to the lack of a Do Not Disturb scheduler. Love this phone, but I have to turn it off a lot!

@urszula: Is there a way that Kompakt owners can add their own notification sounds?
If yes, then where should they put those notification-sound files?
- Notifications folder
- Android/media folder
- Somewhere else?

With the KompaktX app you can change alarm, notification and ringtone sounds to custom ones.

I am indeed hoping for some simpler notification sounds as well as some more normal ringtones.
Personally, I don't really like listening to what's currently in the phone.
But what I miss most is that I cannot adjust the volume of the ringtones and notifications independently of each other.
If I turn up the volume of my ringtone now, the notification sound gets louder too.
