I’m really looking at buying the Kompakt but am curious about the finger print scanner.
I really don’t like the idea of that on a phone or any other device.
Is there a way to completely disable it? Maybe by covering it over?
I’m guessing that the scanner is actually built into the button???
Also are there any plans on supplying a different phone case?
I would prefer a leather case with a flap that covers the screen
@Torchy The sale is running until FEB 15th
And just FYI…we’re not gonna have such good promos for awhile, so it does make sense to take advantage of it now.
I’ve never used a pin code or any type of lock on my phones. I find it too much of a pain in the bum. And I don’t leave my phone anywhere that it would be a problem. I don’t and never would use any type of banking or financial apps. The only thing someone could do with my unlocked phone is make phone calls. As you are aware phone theft is massive these days so it seems locking them is irrelevant.
I’m also one of the rare breed that can leave home without a phone
I wouldn’t normally buy a phone with a finger print reader on it but sadly it seems that’s not possible these days
Thanks Urszula I will do a little more research and then buy your phone.
It does seem like a very good option
Awesome! I’ve also never had a banking app on my phone EVER! I’m so old school it’s kinda funny
BTW…if your friends wants a Kompakt, you can buy two & save even more
I don’t use the fingerprint unlock or PIN code unlock on the Kompakt. I found it to be a bit annoying due to the lag. I don’t care for the swipe up to unblock either because sometimes it doesn’t unlock on the first swipe.
I’m curious because I’m paranoid like you, but I don’t see a problem with using a fingerprint to unlock my phone… I’d like to understand your point of view openly: does it compromise privacy, or what’s the problem?
In my opinion if something sensitive like a finger print is stored on a device then it could be uploaded on to the net.
I would imagine that Apple etc has access to billions of peoples finger prints
Apple has, but people share it with them voluntarily. Also, Mudita doesn’t have a centralized, cloud-based servers to store all your phone data. But it’s good to stay vigilant.
