I replied to the customer service person with LTE Discovery results. This ways several days ago and they said they would send to their tech team but I haven’t heard anything since.

You should report this to customer service. This might be a hardware issue & a warranty replacement might be needed, but only the guys in customer can determine that.

I am having this exact same problem with my brand new Kompakt, just wrote support about it.
It worked first days, no problem has stopped working now. People dont hear me at the other end of a phone call.
It is not the microphone, because the sound recorder works well.
It is the phone calls…
In my experience, the audio codec is broken or improperly setup. If you tap the microphone (tap tap tap) the other side of the call hear the taps. If you speak, they hear wind noise.
There is something with audio encoding not fully compatible.
I tried switching from LTE to 3G calls, and the problem persists.
I also tried updating the OS to the latest, 1.5.0, and still the issue persists.

I made some other discovery: side loaded application like Element (matrix), also suffer from this issue.
So it does not seem to be purely an LTE issue.
Quite curiously, Element Calls do the exact same thing, but recording audio messages work.
I think this is a multimedia issue.
Perhaps another app already has the microphone open during phone app usage?
the thing is that the microphone is capturing something, because if you tap the microphone with the finger, TAP TAP TAP… you hear those at the other end.
Thats why I believe is a codec issue. When you try to decode an audio stream with wrong codec this is what happens. It is not uncomon to have codecs implemented in hardware, but you still have to set them up properly. I see that in a past update, the audio of the device was improved. It could be related.
But then the question would be why it doesnt fail for all and only a few phones….

I am using the Kompakt out of the box, current OS update, and I do not have the same issue with phone voice.
Troubleshooting is challenging when people have a variety of apps sideloaded, maybe some codec issue arises from that? If this problem was present when the person initially got the phone I would suspect a manufacturing component defect.
Anyone willing to try a factory reset on their phone to see if that fixes it?
Other users reported that the issue persists after the factory reset, see above.
I will do if support instructs so, right now, that the phone is in use, it would be a real hassle. But be aware that the role of any Operating System is precisely to administer hardware among applications. So a misbehaving app cannot break the screen, keyboard, or microphone….
Otherwise the issue would be in the OS itself.
