Version: 0.1.0

Calculator is three pages under one bar: calculate, convert, and dates.

Calculate takes a whole sum, brackets and all, and shows the answer so far under it as you type; = puts the answer in the sum’s place to carry on from. The keys are big and plain, in a grid ruled in black. The scientific functions are a second page of the same keys behind fx: sin, cos, tan and their inverses, ln, log, powers, roots, factorial, modulo, π and e, degrees or radians. A function goes into the sum and turns the page back, so sin 30 is fx, sin, 3, 0. The arithmetic is decimal, so 0.1 + 0.2 is 0.3, and a simple fraction is shown as one. The last sum sits above the current one; press it for the last hundred.

Convert covers 24 kinds of unit: length, mass, volume, temperature, speed, area, time, data, pressure, energy, power, angle, number bases from binary to hexadecimal, and more. Press a unit for its list, searchable by name or symbol; the list shows what the number comes to in every unit. Feet come out as feet and inches.

Currency is the one thing that uses the internet. The day’s rates are fetched while currency is open, once a day, and kept, so it still converts with no signal and says which day the rates are from.

Dates counts the days, weeks and months between two days, or finds the day so many on.

Hold any number to copy, share or paste it.

Graphing and a programmer’s calculator are next. If you’d use either, what would you want from it on a screen this size?

This app is great; it reminds me of my high school days using my Texas Instruments calculator. For my taste, the only thing missing is haptic feedback—a vibration with every keypress, like on the default calculator provided by Mudita. Thanks for your work.

@deberly good call. 0.2.2 has “Vibrate on key press” in Settings: a short tick on every key, on every page of keys. It’s off to start, so turn it on there. It follows the phone’s own touch-vibration setting.

Thanks a lot for adding vibration. It’s great to have the history and also to be able to choose the separator between the whole number and the decimals. I also use your Camera, Contacts, Gallery, and Messaging apps.
