I received the phone a couple of weeks ago, configured for North America. Initially, MMS functionality was working correctly. I was able to receive both group messages and photo messages.
After updating the device to software version 1.4.0, MMS no longer works. When attempting to download group or photo messages, I receive the following error:
“Couldn’t download Message expired or not available.”
I am on the Verizon network. Mobile data is enabled.
APN Settings:
APN Name: LTE – Verizon Internet
APN: VZWINTERNET
APN Protocol: IPv4/IPv6
APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4
APN Status: Enabled
APN Type: default,dun
SMS App Settings:
Group Messaging: Single MMS group chat
Download MMS content: Enabled
Allow while roaming: Enabled
Are additional settings I should verify, or if this is a known issue with version 1.4.0?
@Muddyphone We’re sorry that you’re experiencing issues. What MuditaOS K version are you on currently? And can you please me a little bit more specific about what exactly is happening in your case.
Image characteristics may be an issue for the processing power or the Kompakt RAM memory capacity, Close other programs because it may matter how many other apps are open,
They did, tried their steps. MMS is still not recievable. Visible support says the phone is not supported so they can’t help. I guess I have to decide if switching carriers or returning this phone is the next option.
Update: Verizon did not work, switched to mint. Mint allowed me to send and receive mms. Group mms, however, cannot be received. Further, unsure if it’s the phone or the network, but regular sms messages say sent, but, no one receives them in multiple instances.
I gave it my best shot, but a phone that doesn’t do texting isn’t a phone. That plus maps that can’t do a basic address search is why this phone is going back. I wanted to love it, but basics need to function if that’s all the phone has
