Blog: Are you ready for another sneak-peek of Mudita Kompakt?

It’s a bit more complicated than that. I’m not sure if you know, but lithium batteries are classed as dangerous goods, that’s why their transportation needs to be well monitored to ensure safety and minimize potential risks during transportation.
The regulations regarding the power and quantity of cells and batteries you can ship changes regularly. And it even changes from country to country. Not just EU & outside the EU. There are countries which do not allow the shipment of batteries AT ALL, without devices. PLUS there are also restrictions on lithium content in a battery. This is all because they can store up to four times more energy per unit of mass than other batteries and they carry a much greater fire risk.

No I am not aware. But providing battery part detailed manufacturer label, could help find a workaround for Pure and Pure 2.

I just noticed battery is gone as sale option and Gregor refusing you can ship it or replace it when needed, without extended explanation why.

@RasVoja I just explained to you why. The regulations to ship batteries are quite complicated. Some countries require that the batteries be Installed in or packed with the equipment they are intended to operate. They cannot be shipped alone. PLUS the shipper needs to have a special certification. Serbia does have restrictions on shipping lithium batteries, so that’s just not a hurdle that we can overcome.

I understand EU regulations have put batteries to dangerous materials list, which isnt quite true when handked properly
Ate you certified to send batteries to Croatia as EU member?

@RasVoja Unfortunately, no- It can only be shipped with equipment

So only repair/replace options are what? Ordering extra batteries with phone or sending phone to Poland (or some other repair facility)
Its a bit anti user over-administration, since it defenetely prohibits unofficial replacements, replaceable phone battery change and even complicates and makes more expensive official changes, where available.
I can stop asking for future-proof, providing you will be able to assist once problem arise in future (Pure or Harmony battery wear off), soon question will pop up for Kompakt

We have addressed your question regarding the batteries several times over the past few days—on the forum, through private messages, and via email, as you reached out to us through all available channels. Our response remains the same, regardless of how many times or through which channels you ask.

Batteries are not produced or stocked separately, and unfortunately, we are unable to send them individually. For the same reason, replacing the battery is not possible when sending in your device—we simply do not have spare batteries, as they are neither manufactured nor kept in stock.

I trust this clarifies the matter.

OK I understand its final answer, but I find it against reasonable repair rights even during warranty, device usability (basicaly you are telling me to thash it once battery dies) and if seeds distrust in future Mudita and current battery operated products (Bell, even Kompakt).
In short: you CAN do better, NEED to plan better and I am not sure how much it violates end user rights, but surely doesn`t sound positive. But will not push further.

I will do my best to find battery on my own, using available info on it, and will NEVER bother you again.

for wider context: I have asked not only for extra batteries but for warranty and out of warranty baterry and electronics repair for Pure and Bell and did not get a line of reasonable how to answer, even I offered to pay services in advance. Official stance is no repair/battery replacement for Pure, unclear for Harmony

Thank you for your understanding. The official policy for Harmony and Bell is the same as for Pure: we do not offer battery replacements and have very limited repair capabilities. This is the current situation, but I cannot say for certain whether this will change in the future.

Limited as in warranty cases only? Since situation is not critical noe, please let me/us know if anything changes to better. Thank you.
