Unfortunately not. It’s a mobile-app-only system for logging our hours, which is the way the world is quickly moving. And then we’re locked into using Microsoft Teams and a whole Microsoft suite of applications that require Google Play Services for completing other tasks on the go. So it kind of is what it is in my particular case. But I doubt the majority of people are in my specific position. ![]()
Do you need a large screen to utilize these apps? I was using a Jelly star unihertz as a backup phone and it’s not very addictive. It took me awhile to set up with the launcher and only maintaining the essentials, but if you get an android device and install a minimalist launcher then go into terminal on your laptop, I am sure you can remove a bunch of the distractions even google play store or whatever it is using adb uninstall. Just a few suggestions. Even getting the LPIII and then hacking into it could be a good solution. Lots of my solutions involve tinkering but I find phones that are heavily customized are the best for a distraction free experience. Just takes a minute to set up
What if your phone breaks? What if you can’t afford it anymore? What if your religion forbade you from using a personal smartphone? Why isn’t your work providing you this phone? They can obviously afford to, as they have licenses for all these security and applications you need to use.

completely agree, I wont do anything work related on my personal phone, I wont even use it for 2 factor authentication, on the work ipad. I just say “my phone cant do that, its very basic”the great thing about the Kompakt having a minimalst setup and an eink screen is, that most people assume its low tech because it has a mono screen, and dont question it.
