Battery Drains much faster after update to 1.5

Has anyone else noticed their battery drains much faster after the latest update?

Mine seems to drain almost twice as fast… even when I barely use it.

Do you have any sideloaded apps? If so, which ones?

Hi, yes I have Gboard, Waze and Spotify… oh and the Via browser. But I dont hardly use them (except for Gboard). And have done a “force stop” to make sure they are not running in the background.

Me experience? Battery life is better after the update, using Kompakt out of the box, I have installed no sideloaded apps.

I turned off settings for crash reporting and location sharing and maybe those cause a depletion?

Only other change I made was using an micro SD card for storing music files… That wouldn’t add any battery drain would it?

My battery drains the same amount, like before the update. I thought I just tell it here.

SD card is saving files locally so it can avoid direct streaming and save battery - audio files are small - web page loading with images and video uses more resources.

Hard to say, my experience is limited and I am often amazed by how wrong I can be. The Kompakt isn’t for everyone and everyone uses their device differently ((@urszula))

I uninstalled Spotify and Gboard and also turned off location sharing. My battery life is doing very well now.

Not sure which of those actions helped but I’m glad battery is performing well again.
