Has anyone tried audioteka on kompakt? When I attempt to log in an unexpected error occurs and my internet connection is questioned. Has anyone been there as well? Could this possibly be related to gsf/gps? I’ll retry with microG but I’m just guessing Endel, Jelbi, Leo, Spotify, they all claim to require gsf according to aurora, but haven’t been giving me pain so far…
@tymonique Check if Audioteka requires Google Services to work. Mudita Kompakt does not support Google Services for privacy reasons. I sideloaded Audible (something similar) and it worked OK- however, I wasn’t really happy with how the app functioned on Kompakt. So what I do now, is just download my audiobooks & convert them to use on Kompakt.
You need to install a browser, because the included web view browser is very old and not secure, hence the app not letting you to login. Sideload firefox, use it to login to your account then you can delete it.
This was the case with 2 apps that I had to login.
yup, audioteka does require gfs, so does spotify, endel and leo, that in my case do not complain about the lack of it. im wondering if microG could potentially sandbox enough to run it
i foud a browser that doesnt require gfs, its called stargon. for my very incidental use it was fine so far
@tymonique There’s no browser that I know that requires Google Play Services. Even chrome doesn’t require them for basic functionality. Don’t base anything on what says in the Aurora Store descriptions.
Spotify doesn’t require Google play services neither.
For most popular apps there’s a library:
Where people declare which apps work without playservices and which don’t, also which can work with microG. And as you can see it has a De-googled badge (both spotify and spotify lite).
TY @gezimos! I’ll mos def look it up before moving on
