I’m considering getting a Kompakt for our ‘home phone’ which is currently an iPhone 7 on its last legs. The only thing is my 11yo uses it to listen to audiobooks on Audible and I’m wondering what people do with regards to audible and audiobooks? Most of the time we do not have an active subscription and she’s listening to ones we have purchased and downloaded.
I have audible sideloaded and it works with no issues!

I recommend switching from Audible to Libro.fm if you can. It works the same way but your money goes to small bookstores instead of Amazon, and the audiobooks are DRM-free, meaning you can download them to your computer and own the files forever even if Libro.fm goes down. And the app works on the Kompakt!

I have audible, works without problem
For elsewhere downloaded audiobooks, I can recommend the app “simple audiobook player”. Only basic functions and looks good on Eink
