Arranging apps menu in Kompakt

Hey, I might have missed that, will it be possible to hide and/or move apps’ icons around in the menu?

I intend to hide whatever feels irrelevant to me, e.g. chess if it stays single-player (otherwise would be a good portable alternative for taking a chess board to a flight).

I believe that I saw a video in which one can turn off visibility of any given app.

In contrast, the default “apps presenter” (for lack of a better phrase) on the Kompakt presents app icons in alphabetical order.

You can side-load someone else’s apps presenter, but I plan to stay with Mudita’s alphabetical approach.

As you wrote, I also plan to hide some of the apps.

It would also be interesting to know if you can completely delete these pre-installed apps.

@s_micn What apps are you interested in deleting? I can see if someone is not into meditation & chess, they might want to remove those.

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s the perfect selection of tools/apps that are pre-installed on the Kompakt. I would keep the meditation app for sure and in my opinion it fits the philosophy of Mudita perfectly.
But to keep the device as clean as possible i maybe would remove chess, E-Reader and weather for example. I own a chess computer, read real books and have weather app on my Lenovo Laptop.

You do not have to remove/uninstall them. You can hide them.

Yes, I saw that, but a complete deletion would be even better . I know myself and then suddenly i sit somewhere with my Kompakt and play chess for 3 hours :joy: .

You just reminded me I wanted to recall how to predict weather for the day by observing nature.

This reminded me that we have someone on his forum who loves a good weather app  Right @minimalist4life

Yes I LOVE that the Kompakt will have a weather app!

Some interesting points in this thread. Particularly this concept of an ‘apps presenter’ or ‘arrangement style’. How can one side-load this, please?

I also know I would probably succumb to spending time on Chess, so I would prefer to remove that. (I have no interest in the Meditation app, I’m afraid, so would like to remove that, too.)

Mudita Kompakt does have APP MANAGMENT settings, so you can include or not include an app on your phone.
