App Switching on Mudita Kompakt

Is there a way to quickly toggle/switch between apps (vs. always having to go back to the home screen, find the other app in the menu, open it, etc.)?

Thanks for sharing this @ryanness. I Keymapped it to a double press of the home button and it’s working perfectly!

I can’t get to the settings on this – it will open for a moment, and then I see ā€œSomething went wrong - Check that Google Play is enabled on your deviceā€ etc., etc. I installed it from the Aurora Store.

Same issue, and im not enabling the play store. Anyone got a work around?

Interesting - I didn’t experience that issue. Which version of the Mudita OS are you running (I’m on 1.4.0)? I downloaded it from the Aurora Store as well.

Do you happen to have MicroG installed?

I don’t have MicroG installed (but did have it installed a few days ago to see if I could get rid of a similar ā€˜google play services needed’ on the Nest app. I didn’t work so I uninstalled MicroG. I wish I knew what to tell you to and ehainess99 to get it to work for you both!

Fun (or NOT so fun) fact: I performed a Factory Reset on my device and tried to re-install Recent App but I’m now getting the same error! If I figure our a workaround I’ll post it here (and please do the same).

I actually did experience this and then installed the version from aurora store and it somehow went away. I do have microG installed.

I just installed microG but it’s still displaying the google play services needed error and force closing app. Did you change any settings in microG after installation? Any other changes you can think about?

I just redownloaded it from aurora store if I recall

I figured it out. As soon as the app open, click on the ā€œOpen Settingsā€ square very quickly on the top left before the google play store error appears. From there, Click on and allow ā€œPermit Usage Accessā€. It’s been ~10 min of use and no issues as yet. Hope this is helpful!

Nope, this doesn’t work for me. I tried it when I first installed it, now reinstalled it and tried again.
