Can send MMS picmail etc. just fine but cannot receive MMS on Visible. Thanks

Just an update on here @urszula read through some of the similar topics and transferred my sim back to iphone amd disabled RCS and iMessage. MMS photos worked fine on iphone even after iMessage and RCS disabled, transferred sim back to Kompakt and still no change MMS tests say “Couldn’t Download” etc

This is the part that’s stumping me. You’re getting the message, but it’s just not downloading. Am I understanding that correctly?
@urszula I chatted with Visible support this morning; this appears to be an issue on their end that basically blocks MMS download from non-compatible devices…very annoying for Visible to do this. I may have to look at a new carrier that better supports freedom of choice in device use. Is there a list of US/North AM carriers that fully support the Kompakt anywhere? thanks for the help!
T-Mobile is the only carrier in the US to fully support Kompakt from what I’ve found. I’ve still had some issues with MMS but creating my own APN’s has helped and I believe I’ve finally got full function of MMS.
This may be correct… solution: I swapped to Tello (T-mobile MVNO)…ported my number…applied the APNs per their website… MMS works just fine as well as data calls etc… and at a lower rate…feels wrong networks should be able to corner customers to “their” phones… still enjoying my Kompakt very much on around 5mo everyday use
@urszula please see above if anyone else needs a “solution” to MMS…tho it may require a carrier change! maybe needed anyway
@blazemiller1989 T-mobile would be your best bet. There other BIG network carriers are notorious for forcing users on the devices that they want you to use. There is a reason that when you go into a Verizon & AT&T store, you see the devices that you see there.
