Anti Pocket - No More Accidental Calls on Mudita Kompakt

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a project I just finished called AntiPocket.

On my Mudita Kompakt, I by mistake called multiple people, and one time it was so bad - cause I was actually, …complaining about him! What an embarrassment. I got to my computer as fast as I could and slapped this together.

It is a lightweight utility designed to prevent accidental “pocket dials” by requiring a slider confirmation before an outgoing call is placed. While it works on standard Android phones, I specifically designed the UI to be E-ink optimized.

It was tested on the Mudita Kompakt to ensure the interface is high-contrast, legible and nice.

AntiPocket is dynamic, and you can chose multiple defences:

  • Secure Calls: Intercepts outgoing calls and requires a manual slide action to proceed. Works out of pocket. A setting to enable this only in pocket using the proximity sensor.
  • Auto-Lock when in pocket: Lock the device when placed in a pocket using the slider, or actually lock it.
  • Hide: Option to hide the app icon from your launcher for a cleaner setup. Access by dialing ##2684*## (anti in t9)

Open Source The app is free, open-source (MIT License), and written in Kotlin. No ads or tracking.

Thanks!

WOW! This is so cool! I know that a lot of people here on the FORUM who will appreciate this because they reported problems with Kompakt answering phone calls while in pockets or backpacks.

Does the app also force you to swipe for incoming calls?
If not, is that something that you could implement? :grinning:

I think this this graphic demonstrates s ‘slide motion’ to call, I’m also curious if it’s the same to ANSWER.

Hey, I have tried your app and it’s pretty nice. I think you should add this for incoming calls, since the native app fix will only happen in Q2 2026. Thank you still for making this public.

Wasn’t this already fixed? I don’t have this issue anymore since last update.

@nilss I think it all depends on how you unlock your phone.

I’m using the fingerprint sensor and passcode. The unlock method is ‘Press then touch’, an option that was introduced, afaik, for exactly this problem.

So you’re all set, Some people don’t want to use the fingerprint sensor or passcode & then there were issues with the phone unlocking in the pocket & dialing numbers.

The phone opening in pocket issue was solved by Mudita, but incoming calls getting rejected isn’t fixed yet. I just thought this app might solve the second issue.

Correct, I just wanted to point out to newcomers that there was an official fix, at least for when using the fingerprint sensor. I do appreciate others developing things for the Kompakt to make life easier.

@Two_Hats Thanks for the work. Personally, I did not have anymore issues with answering in pocket, but mileage may differ and it probably depends on a lot of factors.

Hey, just to be clear, I’m not the developper of this app. Credit goes to @Noteh.

@nilss

I remember you saying this was still a slight issue for you:
