Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a project I just finished called AntiPocket.
On my Mudita Kompakt, I by mistake called multiple people, and one time it was so bad - cause I was actually, …complaining about him! What an embarrassment. I got to my computer as fast as I could and slapped this together.
It is a lightweight utility designed to prevent accidental “pocket dials” by requiring a slider confirmation before an outgoing call is placed. While it works on standard Android phones, I specifically designed the UI to be E-ink optimized.
It was tested on the Mudita Kompakt to ensure the interface is high-contrast, legible and nice.
AntiPocket is dynamic, and you can chose multiple defences:
- Secure Calls: Intercepts outgoing calls and requires a manual slide action to proceed. Works out of pocket. A setting to enable this only in pocket using the proximity sensor.
- Auto-Lock when in pocket: Lock the device when placed in a pocket using the slider, or actually lock it.
- Hide: Option to hide the app icon from your launcher for a cleaner setup. Access by dialing ##2684*## (anti in t9)
Open Source The app is free, open-source (MIT License), and written in Kotlin. No ads or tracking.
