CalmCast may have an option to play consecutive podcast episodes automatically. In the meantime, I’d like to use AntennaPod but can’t seem to figure out how to enable Continuous playback – jump to following queue item when playback completes - even if the toggle is on in the settings: the app stops playback once the episode finishes. I also understand that one doesn’t need to manually create a queue for this to work, as the app should automatically move to the next episode.
Would anyone have a suggestion on how to make this possible, or recommendations for another app? Thank you!
pretty sure i would have downloaded the image from the F-Droid website, then sideloaded using Web-ADB app on a browser on my PC. I have a setting called ‘Continuos playback’ turend on in the settings>playback settings.
It’s strange: I reinstalled the app and have continuous playback enabled, but it stops playback at the end of an episode, even though there are many more available. I also checked the battery settings, and AntennaPod is not listed as a restricted app.
Is it possible that the app only plays episodes from oldest to newest automatically? If that’s the case, is there a setting that would enable continuous automatic playback for unplayed episodes? I used PocketCast with that feature, which was so practical, especially when driving.
that is odd. i do move eps from my inbox into the queue, and they run oldest to newest, so maybe you are right there. although the setting itself describes it as just playing the next in the queue, maybe its a bug you’v discovered in its behavour.
When moved into the queue, the episodes play consecutively.
As a recent convert to MK from iPhone, I used both the Apple Podcasts and Pocket Casts apps, and they played episodes continuously without me having to add them to a queue manually.
CalmCast could include this feature so that when a user subscribes to a new podcast, it plays all episodes back-to-back, starting with the most recent (or oldest).
