Here’s some exciting news as we prepare for the launch of Mudita Kompakt!
We’ve been keeping an eye on the evolution of audio accessories, and we know there’s a debate out there: the convenience of cordless versus the reliability of cords.
With the upcoming Mudita Kompakt, we’re tipping our hats to the latter.
In the tech world, where simplicity often takes a back seat, we’re thrilled to announce that Mudita Kompakt will proudly feature a standard headphone jack.
Yes, you heard it right! We understand how important it is for many of you to have direct, uncomplicated access to your audio experiences. Whether it’s listening to music, catching up on podcasts, or simply using your headset to make & receive calls, the headphone jack is here for those of you who love the trusty wired headphones.
Stay tuned for more updates next month, and thank you for your continued support and belief in our commitment to simplicity and functionality.
I notice you wrote “catching up on podcasts”. I wonder if this means the Kompakt can download podcasts or that we can download them onto it, like on the Pure.
Looking forward to this phone! I am quite commited to buying it and can’t wait to hear more, especially a target release date. In the mean time:
A couple things:
It has been a bit difficult to follow. If this could be addressed it would be nice.
My preferences… just opinions
I signed up for the “waitlist” on the (/kickstarter page), after being directed from (community/blog/introducing-mudita-kompakt page). On the page it states “sign up for waitlist”. …It is definitely not a waitlist, it is a general marketing email list, I received many emails, none relating to Kompakt (before unsubscribing). My excitement for a waitlist turned to frustration for having been mislead and spam’d. This has somewhat tampered my excitement and expectations. That said; If there is a waitlist I will happily sign up, or a dedicated email list for the kompakt I would subscribe.
It has been difficult to track, I think there are 3 pages?(blog pages)? Relating to the phone, it took a bit to identify there are multiple pages and conversations going on simultaneously. Slightly confusing
Not sure this can be changed but the newest blog posts appearing last requires scrolling or clicking through multiple pages to find the active and most recent information. Especially on mobile.
My preferences, everyone’s got an opinion right?
…And yes I realize that the phone is already in pre-production, as well I may have missed some of the known specs. Much of this is likely already decided, these are just some personal preferences to put out in to the world ha.
Bloatware free OS, some version of android with a clean start would be fine, (free of google or other apps). Essentail apps that I would like to still be able to use: Messaging, phone, maps, audio books (audible), music (spotify). All the rest can burn ha, and if they were impossible or very difficult to download all the better.
Smaller size. Phones are getting way too big. The renderings look promising!
Headphone jack. Yay ya already nailed that one!
Camera, not fancy, not great. Just to take a photo of a receipt or some info, something like that.
USB-C charging. Wireless is good and all, but simple wires for an on the go minimalist life still work best.
Tethering, I run my computer off my phone data when, sadly, I need to plug in to the digital world.
Thanks for reading the essay ya’ll, have a great day and I look forward to the phone!
Good morning (UK time). One thing I’d appreciate knowing is whether the new OS for Kompakt will be slowly developed over time, with new features added. So if we invest in this, we will be investing in the longterm. I am looking for that. I don’t mind if Kompakt ships with limited features but with a promise to develop.
