Adding more phone#s for Contacts +

In the phone app Contacts are limited to only 2 have phone numbers. I wish that wasn’t a limitation but I don’t know the complexity of adding more?

It works well as is, but times there is a benefit to group callers numbers under one Contact name. Thank you

@smuch Let me see if I understand this correctly (so we’re on the same page when I pass this on to the team).
You are looking to be able to add MULTIPLE numbers to, let’s say, BOOK CLUB GROUP, that way you can call people from that group individually?
I am asking because Mudita Kompakt does not natively support Group Calling (you know, calling more than one person to have a chat), but I think some messaging apps may.

I think @smuch is saying they want to be able to add more than two phone numbers to a single contact - currently the contacts app only allows two number entries, although I can’t imagine why you’d need more.

@ArmchairSetup He mentions "there is a benefit to group callers " so I just want to make sure I understand what request I am passing on.

I rarely make out going calls but I get many incoming calls. If people on incoming call from different number I may add them to an existing contact, “customer”, “family”, “friend”, or some group or category name, so generally its a filter, gives me peace of mind, and safety accepting the call. There is the setting to block unrecognized numbers but that is to restrictive. I give myself the option to accept calls from unknown numbers and the blocked number list isn’t limited to two contacts.

I know when I am accepting a call from someone I know - I recognize return callers by their category, and voice and I don’t always need to know their name.

I do have a few individual contacts for text. A person may have multiple numbers, for example different businesses, and I forward the calls to one sim# in the Kompakt.

Maybe my requirement is unique but I have the capability to have multiple numbers for a single contact on other phones I’ve used.
