We use VOIP and this would be a fantastic feature the ability to configure a VOIP SIP provider so we may use our office extensions from this phone. I understand these phones don’t support WiFi but VOIP can work over Cell data just fine

With this feature I would be happy to put a Mudita phone in everyone of my employee’s hands

Cell data is blocked by default for the OS, so not possible for Mudita as of now.

Is this a deliberate decision or a technical limitation?
I simply want a lighter, more independent phone, I have no issue with the internet distracting me especially when it is about staying in contact with loved ones.
I need a featurephone that supports international calls via Internet like Signal/Jitsi/… as they are expensive via regular cell network. I was placing my hope on Mudita to allow for diversity of use-cases with its open-source nature, but maybe it is a Punkt MP02 then, which is sadly not FOSS…
