US - Anyone Been Able To Use as a Data Modem with T-Mobile?

Checking to see if anyone has been able to use the data modem function in the US using T-Mobile?

No. I am on a T-Mobile MVNO. I select ‘yes’ on the phone when it asks, but the computer never detects any connection via USB. I’ve tried on Linux and Mac.

@albatross87 There is a thread about tethering on Mac.

I’m going to start a new one & pin it with instructions.

@urszula FYI…I haven’t seen the windows instructions yet, but I still tried it with T-mobile with my desktop computer and it worked (after permissions, trying on a laptop today). All I had to do was press “yes” after it asked if I wanted to tether. Trying on a laptop later today! Edited to add: With my tech guru’s help
UPDATE: Have gotten it to work on 3/5 laptops so far: 2 Dell (one older, one more recent), and one HP. It did not work on one HP and one of our Lenovo models. I have tech folks checking settings, etc. I hope this helps someone.
