How do ya’ll make sure you have the most up-to-date version of your .apk apps? Specifically, the .apk’s that are NOT in the Aurora Store or F-Droid. For example, the MK Volume + app.
I suppose I could bookmark the GitHub pages and regularly check to see if I have the latest versions. But I’d like a more efficient, automated process: such as receiving notifications if there is a release update. Any suggestions?

Use an app like Obtainium which watches Github for new versions. Setting it up is a bit of a pain but it works great.

Thanks for the suggestion! If the app is on my Kompakt, how would I download the updated .apk’s to the Kompakt? As far as I know, .apk’s have to be downloaded on a computer, then sideloaded onto the Kompakt.

Obtainium works as an installer, so when it flags an app as due for an update, you can click through inside Obtainium to install the update.
