Three weeks in and I am very happy!

The phone does as advertised and nothing else…

There are a few small bugs, but I am sure these will be ironed out with updates, just as android and apple phones do with their OS’s.

I have not side loaded any apps yet, and am resistant to do so, but may have to, as I need an authenticator app to access full safeguarding software on my work computer (I am a teacher).

I am intrigued by the many posts and comments around issues that contradict the aim of the phone! Whilst I do fully appreciate that Mudita openly allow users to sideload apps.

I am totlaly with you. The phone does what promised. I am happy to have a degoogled phone and Signal is working fine.
The people look for the “eierlegende wollmilchsau” we say in germany. And that is no phone.

Hey!
Just curious, is there a possibility for you to go PC-based authenticator or SMS-based OTP?
I’m considering that myself just because I want to fully decouple from a smartphone on a daily basis. For my work account, I set SMS OTP, and for my personal projects I’ve just deployed authenticator app for Windows.
The only things I can’t make up other way around is Revolut and home alarm which I may have to sideload or use on the smartphone I now keep shut down in the car.
Thinking of Signal but I’m anxious of upkeeping the flex of charging the phone once a week. :wink:

I will be speaking with my safeguarding team about the authenticator aspects. However as a work around, my old nokia has the app on it, all I have to do is turn it on to use the app and turn it off again, even without a sim card in it.

This! :point_up: I totally agree with you. The phone have all I need: phone, SMS, Signal and camera. That’s it. E-ink and good battery life are awesome bonuses! Thank you, Mudita!

I looked this up and was not disappointed! "Eierlegende Wollmilchsau is a German idiom that literally translates to “egg-laying, wool-milk-sow” or “egg-laying wool-milk-pig”
