In the US, Memorial Day marks the unofficial start to summer…but technically the Summer Solstice is when it officially kicks of on the calendar :slight_smile:
I don’t know about you, but summer, for me, means finally having a little extra time to catch up on reading.
I’ve already picked up a cool book:

What’s on your reading list this summer?

Are there any books you’re especially looking forward to reading? Fiction, non-fiction, biographies, history, philosophy, science fiction, personal development, travel writing, or something completely unexpected, all recommendations are welcome.

And if you’ve recently finished a book that you couldn’t put down, feel free to share that too. You might just help someone discover their next great read.

I’ve just finished the Felix Castor series by Mike Carey (Urban Fantasy set in London) and am currently on the second book of the Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers (slightly philosophical Space Opera).

@thilodus Interesting choice. How does it differ from mine? Other than mine is really OLD :slight_smile: (I got it in 8th grade)

DUNGEON CRAWLER CARL! I cannot put it down. It’s hilarious. It’s like The Hunger Games on steroids and if it was run by a really sassy AI. Great satire on the state of society/entertainment, it can get really crazy but there’s always a comedic release (so far, I’m only on book 3 of 6 or 8).

Love a good book recommendation.

I’ve just finished The Wild Shore by Charlotte McConaghy.

Next is All The Colours Of The Dark by Chris Whitaker.

I’ve also been revisiting Atomic Habits by James Clear for the second or third time since 2020. Can recommend Stolen Focus by Johann Hari as well!
