Strange Message on Start Up

When I started up my MK this morning and swiped left, for a brief flash, a message appeared on the screen: “A true master of information.” I think it was a multi-line message, but if I remember correctly, this was the first line (in bold face). It appeared and disappeared in a flash.

Does anyone know what that was or why it appeared please? @urszula, can you shed any light on this, please?

Many thanks.

This message appears when you hide all apps in app layout. Just hide them manually to read it.
At startup this can show up when the OS hasn’t finished loading yet.

Ah. So, this is the equivalent of those error 404 messages online that try to be funny/quirky, except in this case, it shows when the OS hasn’t quite loading everything yet.

Hmm. I’m becoming concerned over the hw performance of the MK.

Thanks for clarifying!

Actually, I found the message quite funny, no reason to be concerned. It’s truly minimalistic.

I’m not concerned over the message, but the performance of the device. At times (in certain use cases), it can feel sluggish. The SOC is old.

This is what’s happening @petemeister
Have you hidden all your apps?

Hi @urszula, I have hidden these apps: alarm, calendar, chess, e-reader, maps, meditation, music, notes, updater, weather, Aurora Store, Batch Uninstaller, DavX5, F-Droid, Futo Keyboard, Futo Voice Input, SyncThing-Fork. But there are just as many apps (if not more) that are unhidden. I won’t list them all.

I believe that’s the message that flashed up briefly. It’s the first time I’ve ever been called a master of something. It lasted an eye blink.

@petemeister I think it could have been a one-off. I’ll ask the team. Do let us know if it happens again.
