Spotify — Community App Review

Spotify is a music streaming application.
I use Spotify out of habit, it is bad, before my Mudita Kompakt i was aware that it was not a great application for me. I was using an iPhone 15 pro.
Spotify is a heavy application for this device I believe. It has a forced dark theme, so I use it with Android’s revert colors mode.
Everything is legible. Only because of the color scheme (if you don’t revert) you might think shuffle is not on, but it is in fact on, as ON is a darker color than OFF on normal colors. It is a very small one time mistake but it can get mistaken.
Spotify comes with all kinds of animations, videos, lyrics on screen etc. I recommend disabling all these, makes the app more useable. I would say disable everything until you see only the music player on the screen. When you do this, app is a little sluggish, but works alright. I have no problems listening with my iem’s on 3.5mm jack or Bluetooth earphones.
If you are using inkOS or KatapultOS music player widget on the homescreen is quite fast and responsive with a little album cover picture.
My main problem with this application and Kompakt in this regards is;
I have a 2021 BMW 3 series with a Harman Kardon sound system, I have a long commute, listening to music is the only thing enjoyable on my commute. (Other than talking to my wife, which Kompakt is very capable of) Whenever I play music, it stutters. The first connection is impossible to listen to, I have to disconnect and reconnect once to the car, for it to make the audio stutter bearable.
The solutions I have tried; turn on data saver on the spotify app, use spotify offline, download the songs in lowest quality, force the phone to have only 1 active bluetooth connection, drop the AVCRP version to 1.4 or 1.3, disable wifi - lte - location services, keep phone screen awake and on spotify, reset car infotainment system, do multiple pairings for both. None worked, audio just stutters. And just like phones, the car does not offer 3.5 mm jack and dont see the phone as a media player when connected with a usb-c cable.
I’m going to give up Spotify for sure in the upcoming days. But if you are listening to only on 3.5mm jack or on earphones/headphones, you shouldn’t experience big problems.
Notifications (audio being played and bluetooth devices) are working. It can be downloaded from Aurora Store.
The app made the phone crash multiple times, while trying to disconnect-reconnect multiple times.
