Sound volume levels

Is anyone else of the opinion that the lowest volume level sounds very loud when listening to music on the Mudita Kompakt?

While calling I have to up the volume to maximum to hear the person on a somewhat okay level. However listening to music I almost never go higher than the minimum and even think that is to loud. Have not seen any topics on this before and would love to hear your opinions.

Yeah there’s something that makes our experiences vastly different, it’s not even consistent in time. For me, loudspeaker volume is sometimes more than enough, and sometimes I have to keep it close to ear on the highest.

It was one of my first comments here, the volume increments are not “mathing”. I had compared it to an iPhone 12 mini and the lowest volume in the Kompakt is comparable to almost 50% volume in the iPhone.

I have to use my sleeping earbuds because at night is impossible to fall asleep when listening to something in Kompakt’s lowest volume in the loudspeaker.

With open windows I am afraid to annoy my neighbors when I listen to podcasts on lowest level to fall asleep. I’d also prefer to have more options on the lower end or a steeper decline in volume. In a call I always found a good volume setting so far.

A book or something else to shield the speaker can help to reduce the sound level in case you listen to music and the phone just lies somewhere.

Even at the first volume level, it’s already quite loud. The volume slider needs to be recalibrated !

Brightness and Volume Slider Behaviour

I wanted to hear the opinions of other fellow users about the volume and brightness sliders and some issues I have with them. [slider1] My issues: In the logs I checked and the brightness slider is 1-255, so 255 levels. I measured my used brightness levels and they’re 1-24. please consider an external bluetooth speaker with a volume control
