Amazon Music can be a better choice if you’re deep into the Amazon ecosystem (Echo devices, Alexa integration) or already get Amazon Music Unlimited bundled with Prime at a discount. The library is solid, and it now supports HD/Ultra HD audio, which is a plus if you care about higher‑quality streaming.
Personally, I like Spotify because of the discovery features — plus it’s easier to move playlists to and from other platforms using tools like MusConv if you ever decide to switch again. But it really depends on what you value most: music discovery & social vs. integration & hi‑res sound.
I’ve abandoned all streaming services but Netflix which I don’t use anymore on the go since the Kompakt is my one and only phone now. So for music I’m going back to buying the music I like. I think I’ll try Qobuz. They’re based in France (EU GDPR) and offer music in higher quality. Artists get paid much better compared to streaming services.
