New Mudita Kompakt boots into Android instead of Mudita OS

Hi all,

I just received my Mudita Kompact, but I’m running into a strange issue right from the start.

When I power on the device, it doesn’t boot into Mudita OS. Instead, it loads what looks like a very basic Android interface (with app icons, settings, etc.), which is also quite hard to use on the e-ink screen.

I’ve already tried:

  • Restarting multiple times

  • Performing a factory reset

…but the problem persists.

From what I can tell, it seems like the device is not booting into the correct OS, or that Mudita OS might not be properly installed.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a way to force it to boot into Mudita OS, or reinstall the OS via Mudita Center? Mudita Center cannot find the device, btw.

Any help would be much appreciated!
