Mudita Kompakt Review

I’ve only been using my Mudita Kompakt for one day.

Here are some bugs and issues I’ve encountered:

Sometimes accent marks don’t work properly when typing (Spanish dictionary); I need to exit and re-enter to fix it.

I’m not able to add a contact to favorites.

I can’t view the Canary Islands map, even though I downloaded the Spain map.

Occasionally, the unlock screen gets stuck when trying to “swipe up,” preventing me from using the phone for several minutes. It hasn’t happened often, but I believe it’s important to mention.

I’m unable to send a photo via text message, even though that option is enabled.

Functionality suggestions:

To improve user privacy: It would be great if the user could choose their own lock screen image — even a completely blank one — to avoid displaying the Mudita Kompakt logo.

Calendar: Allow users to add recurring events (e.g., birthdays every year).

Alarm: Add an option for vibration-only alarms, without sound.

Wishlist:

Warm-tone lighting for the screen brightness. Since this is available on the flashlight, it would be ideal to have it on the screen as well.

Better range control: Finer adjustment at the lowest brightness and volume levels, and less intensity at the highest ones (where it’s less necessary).

More customization for sounds: alarms, messages, calls — it would be great if users could choose their own tones.

Music: When playing music, it would be amazing to see the music player on the lock screen, allowing users to skip or pause tracks without entering the music app.

I’m really happy with this phone.

I’m sharing these thoughts in case others feel the same, and perhaps some of these suggestions could be considered for future models.

Thank you!

I would like to know too if warm tone is planned! I know on other eink phones they have this ability

Are you making sure you STAR :star: your contacts? That marks them as favorites.

Hi! I checked and found the Canary Island map is separate from the map of Spain. Try searching for “Canary Islands”. I hope this helps :slightly_smiling_face:

Have you set up your APN settings, as well as having MMS setting enabled?
