hi, i am generally satisfied with my Mudita Kompakt.
The operating system of my Kompakt is K 0.0.58, i have a second Kompakt and on this one it is K 1.1.0.
The Kompakt with the older version cannot be recognized by the mudita center and shows that it is up to date, on the newer one the mudita center recognizes the Kompakt.
Both devices are recognized by windows.
I had the same problem. Updated the OS of the Kompakt to current, and the problem was resolved.
I had to go to a WiFi location to do the upgrade - about 20 minutes. Perfect amount of time for a coffee and some people watching.
You should be able to use WiFi at home. I did, and the update occurred.
However, Software Update indicates that the system is up to date,
no update is displayed.
Mine had an update notification at the top of the screen, and the Mudita center also indicated an update available. Given the low OS number on the Kompakt, and the fact that your other Kompakt has a higher number, likely there is an upgrade available. The picture on your initial post shows an upgrade available at the top of the screen.
I assume that you have enabled WiFi on the Kompakt, selected your home WiFi, and signed the Kompakt in on your home WiFi.? It took me a couple of tries to properly connect up with the coffee shop WiFi (user error - me), but once I did connect up properly the update was smooth.
This menu item is available on both devices, regardless of whether an update is available or not. The selection is displayed on both devices as it is probably a general option that can be used to check whether an update is available.

Mine has the exact same issue, says it’s up to date but runs on January/0.0.58 version.

@urszula please resolve as quickly as possible. I received my kompakt this week and have not been able to use it untli now…
I also have this issue. @urszula Kompakt arrived last week. Did not have normal setup and system was very buggy/bootlooping/home button not working and was missing more than half of the apps. Was able to do a manual update to 29/1/25 version. Now all bugs seem fixed except for still unable to connect to Mudita Center while laptop does ID the Kompakt. This morning, I am seeing a “software update” notification in the About menu, but when I click that, it just says my 29/1/25 0.0.58 version is up to date, when I click refresh it says it cannot check updates due to no internet while it is connected to the WIFI. I have logged a ticket on all this, but thought I’d add to this post as well. Not a great first few days with the device. Please sort this out ASAP.

@larsenb @nvh @urszula Has support helped anyone to find a solution? I just received two Kompakts and they have the same issue—out of the box they had a very buggy demo OS, and I was only able to upgrade to 0.0.58. Still can’t connect to the Mudita center. I really hope this can be fixed.

I have submitted a customer support ticket on this 13 days ago and have emailed support 6 days ago. I have not received any response other than an automated “we are very busy” response. This is very disappointing. Delivering a device which cannot perform its basic tasks and then not replying to customers who raise this issue… Please provide the software update asap to resolve this issue.

@urszula @Lukasz_Siecinski I am now approaching 3 weeks after submitting a support ticket to your customer support. 34097. That is a far cry from your stated 72 hours response time. I have not received any actual response. I cannot connect to the Mudita Center and am stuck at OS 0.0.58. Please resolve this as I am stuck without a large component of the phone’s utility.
