We’re actively working to expand our shipping reach and aim to expand to more terriroties in the future!
Mudita is responsible for the software and hardware of the Mudita Kompakt as installed by us (MuditaOS K package), and, at the moment, there is no app store available on the device. While it’s technically possible to install Android APK files manually, due to MuditaOS K being based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP 12), we do advise caution. Users with the necessary technical skills may choose to sideload third-party apps but should be aware that doing so may impact the device’s performance.

Apps that are not specifically designed for our E Ink screen may be inconvenient to use.
Additionally, sideloaded apps could occasionally display errors due to limited integration with MuditaOS K.

Since MuditaOS K does not include an APK loader, sideloading requires a computer with appropriate software connected to Mudita Kompakt via a USB-C cable. Additionally, MuditaOS K is designed to run without Google Services, which may also affect some sideloaded apps that require those services.

While sideloading will not harm the device and any resulting issues can be resolved by restoring factory settings, it is not covered by the warranty. For example, if a sideloaded app causes unexpected battery drain or other performance issues, these would not qualify for warranty claims.
The initial release of Mudita Kompakt will not include a dedicated messenger app like WhatsApp or Signal, and there is no app store on the device. While we’re exploring options for adding messaging functionalities in future updates, this will depend on technical feasibility and user feedback.

If you’re considering sideloading messaging apps, please refer to the FAQ question about third-party apps for important details on sideloading compatibility with MuditaOS K and E Ink screen performance. For now, Kompakt’s built-in SMS and MMS capabilities provide core messaging support, with free software updates planned for future enhancements.
Yes, Mudita Kompakt allows you to block incoming messages and calls from hidden or unrecognized numbers. This feature helps you manage your communication, giving you greater control over who can reach you.
No, the Mudita Kompakt’s camera does not currently support video recording. We might consider adding this feature in the future, but for now, it is focused on capturing photos.
You can easily connect and transfer files thanks to the built in USB MTP protocol. Simply plug in your Mudita Kompakt, and you can manage your files directly. You can also use Mudita Center, our desktop application available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, to back up your data, also update the software, and manage contacts.

I seriously doubt at short shipping list most people arent aware that in present conditions they might not get the phone, OR might get it on KS but people from their country cant afterwards
