Mudita Kompakt: Black, Gray, or White?

If you are planning to buy the Kompakt, which of the three colors do you plan to get, and why?

I can see an argument for each color, but I would enjoy reading others’ arguments.

Has anyone else noticed that those three colors are a tribute to the Kompakt’s E Ink display? – black & white, with shades of gray!

I haven’t decided if I’ll get the Kompakt, but if I do, I think I’ll get either Black or White. I’m leaning more towards Black because it’s my default color and will match my Mudita Harmony 2 and I think it will look sleeker than white plastic (personal opinion, others may disagree). Plus, if I get to choose different colored phone case, whether it’s white, black or any other color, I think it will go nicely with black in the background. My decision is definitely biased though because looking back, I’ve mainly always had black phones in my entire cell phone ownership. It’s my default, I guess. I’d consider white as an option, but considering it’s plastic, not sure how cheap that will look.

I have a white Harmony and white Pure (which I will return soon). But colour choice is quite obvious :smiley: More neutral, easier to blend to environment, easier to distinguish from back or side side from today mostly black smartphones.

This is one of my questions, too:

  • Will Mudita, or a third party, make colorful cases for the Kompakt?

I like having a case that surrounds everything but the face of a cellphone – to protect it from “bumps and bruises” AND so that I can choose a bright color that simplifies finding it!

So you’re opposite of me! :smile: Yeah, it has to also do with my home. I think white clock and phone would stand out too much in my house lol.

I’m not sure - I was thinking black or white initially but I like the grey with the LP3 because the dimmer screen blends better but I also love the idea of getting a black Kompakt since I’ve already gone down the lighter route

In the photo preview, I see black, white, pink, olive green, and like a royal blue. Quite a selection!

Mudita said that they will consider other colors, too, for the Protective Case.

Awesome! I wonder if they will also make an add-on that allows you to carry a few cards behind the case. I know not everyone will use that, but I know some people do. I’m looking forward to the cases for the LP3.

I know I should get a case for the LP3 but it just looks so nice without one. It is like with the LP2 i bought the case but I rarely if ever put it on, just love the feel of the device in the hand without a case
