So as an effort to be more present, even if I’m still using a digital device, I was thinking about how I could use my Kompakt in a way that supports reflection. I’ve downloaded a few books, and then I started scribbling ideas in Notes and somehow created something that looked a bit like a Haiku… and Kompakt Haiku was born ![]()
So, slight variation on ‘proper’ Haikus and I don’t quite have the terminology to describe it, but here goes my best attempt:
- A single word title
- ‘A count of 4’
- Followed by another ‘count of 4’ that somewhat rhymes (or at least flows)
- Finishing with a concluding or reflective statement, with the first letter of a key word capitalised and ending in a full stop
- Important: Each sentence can only be as long as the width of the Kompakt screen
You can take a screenshot by pressing the volume down and power button at the same time.
Here’s what I mean by ‘a count of 4’: 1. [Motivation] 2. [energy] 3. [physical] 4. [space] - Imagine the words read out slightly faster than one a second.
I’ll try to post some screenshots of the first few, and feel free to join in if you wish! ![]()
