Kompakt Bluetooth Connection

A quick question about Kompakt Bluetooth connection.

I noticed the phone disconnects from a speaker every 15-20 minutes, and I have to press play on a streaming app to restart the stream. I didn’t have the issue before with another phone using the same speaker. The Kompakt remains active in the Bluetooth list of connected devices.
Is there a phone setting that accounts for this behavior, or should I look into something else to ensure seamless Bluetooth connection? Thank you!

A quick follow-up question may be relevant: Do you have any recommendations for a radio app that allows FM radio and streaming services such as the BBC? Thanks again!

1st issue sounds like it is not a Bluetooth issue but app getting restricted from playing in the background for too long. It happened to me with Antennapod, that’s why I moved to AnytimePodcast.

2nd question, there’s a FM radio app hidden in the system apps so you need a thirdparty launcher to access. It just has FM radio, you can’t have both streaming services and FM radio. (it’s hidden because they haven’t optimized the theme for e-ink yet).

I’ve tried other FM radio apps made for MTK chipsets but they didn’t work.

Thanks so much for your quick reply! I’ll try the Mudita FM Radio app.
Could you recommend any apps that allow radio streaming services, such as BBC Service or BBC Sounds?

I don’t see FM Radio on the list of apps. How do you access it?

Please note there are known bluetooth issues which will be addressed in the July software update.

There are some guides that people posted on the forums, search read more about Sideloading.

You need to either sideload the APK files, or Sideload a Store (like Aurora Store and F-Droid) and then you can install apps.

To access the FM Radio you need a third-pary launcher (home-screen) that doesn’t hide the other apps like Mudita Launcher does.

I believe the BBC radio is only available via the BBC Sounds app or the browser, or FM if you are in the UK

@nagymusic We do have some Bluetooth bugs which we are fixing & they will be ready in a future update. However, I have not heard about this specific type of bug, so I’ve asked our team about it.
