Kompakt 4G Band support

I do not know, but the Indiegogo page still shows supported bands.

@lancerabbit As of now, here are the bands which are being supported:

As I wrote in another thread, we are also currently exploring the possibility of adding bands 66 & 71 to the North American version of Mudita Kompakt, but we cannot guarantee it at this stage.

Thank you! Still, no band 28 support is unfortunate.

@lancerabbit Sorry about that :frowning:

Your table already shows 71 in the “North America Optimized” column, so Mudita is half-way there!

Update: I changed my order in March of 2025 to the “Global optimized” version after temporarily putting my T-Mobile USA SIM in my de-Googled Pixel 6 and then installing and running an app called ‘LTE Discovery’ in my city here in the USA. The ‘LTE Discovery’ app let me confirm that I should be able to use a “Global” Kompakt successfully here – e.g., on LTE band 12.

By the way, if I lived in any rural part of the USA, where LTE band 71 comes in handy, then I would have persisted with the order for the “North American” Kompakt.

So, I am taking a calculated risk that “Global” Kompakt’s support for T-Mobile USA LTE bands 5, 12, 13 (Puerto Rico and U.S.V.I. only), 26, and 41 will be sufficient for me here in the USA.

Nice you will get your phone earlier now!
I was just not willing to take that risk after having so much issues with the Pure compatibility here in Canada

Your approach makes sense for those living in Canada except perhaps those on Bell. Here are the LTE bands that “Global” Kompakt supports across several Canadian wireless providers:

  • Bell: 5, 7, 12, 13
  • Chatr: 7, 12
  • Eastlink: 13
  • Fido: 7
  • Freedom: 7
  • Rogers: 7
  • Sasktel: 13, 41
  • Shaw: 13
  • Tbaytel: 7
  • Telus: 7, 12, 13
  • Videotron: [none]

I am with Lucky mobile which is owned by Bell, so should I switch providers? I am honestly going to be pissed if the Kompakt has issues on day 1 for me, I went through this with the Pure

Apologies: I did not write my first sentence clearly. What I meant to say is that your approach of going with “North America” Kompakt makes sense and that the only time that I would say that “Global” Kompakt makes sense in Canada is when one is on Bell.

Bell Mobility also supports more LTE bands on the “North America” Kompakt than does any other Canadian cellular provider, so, no, I would stick with Lucky Mobile, which is a Bell Mobility subsidiary.

In other words, Bell or a subsidiary of Bell (such as Lucky) supports the highest number of LTE bands among all cellular providers in Canada, no matter whether you have the “Global” Kompakt OR the “North America” Kompakt.

After so many years of using a PUNKT MP02 and constant Signal/Pigeon crashes, the wait will have been worth it. But hey, in a month you’ll finally have yours, too!

Please don’t remind me of Punkt lol, great looking phone but after that just badly supported by the company, they promised group text messaging 3 years ago, still has not happened

I have PTSD from the Punkt. It was like being in a toxic relationship with a hot girl
