Group messaging not working so far on update

The behaviour you saw initially does match the ‘SMS group’ behaviour as outlined in the setting, so thats not a fault. Looks like it should be set to the MMS option in order for it to be a single ‘group’ chat, and that the MMS option is your issue. Mine behaves fine- lets me change it to MMS. However i dont use sms if i can help it, as its inherently insecure, so always use Signal- so i cant attest to the MMS functionality.

The less Meta-the better

Absolutely. I’ve been using meta for years to reach my fans (art), and instagram has been stuck at the same number for six years! Not gonna make any effort with them at all anymore.

Yeah i’ve already gone through these but the giffgaff page misses out a lot of the options I need to fill in, so i’ve just given up and am going to use signal for group messaging to my sisters. The rest of the time I’ll just use regular SMS.

Also having issues with group messaging. I am NA, on AT&T, came from a Samsung phone. I have turned RCS off on Google Messages and have MMS turned on on the Kompakt. Maybe it just takes a bit of time for RCS to turn off fully? Regular SMS is working fine.

My pain, I can send MMS just fine, but 10 days that iphones still default back to RCS. It’s a hassle.

I just got the update, and I have the same issue as @umalum. Using US Mobile on the light speed (T mobile) network and I don’t have the MMS option

have you looked in- SMS app > Settings (middle symbol in top right, next to plus symbol) > click your Sim/phone number> thats where the MMS and group chat options are

@xer0 omg life saver! That totally worked. Thank you!!

I have a big group chat that some people are using RCS and on my iPhone sometimes I would get the messages really late. I have no idea what all these types of texting mean as an iMessage user but I really hope they come in on my MK!

RCS will also need to be turned off on the iPhone to unlink it, otherwise some messages may get caught up. This does take some time to de-activate, according to some of these other comments on this chain. You also need to deactivate iMessage for the same reason.
