Now that I finally have group texts working. I’m pretty happy with the kompakt, but there are still a few functions missing that seems like they should be obvious or no-brainers (and of course if these are actually present and I haven’t figured it out, please lmk)
Silent mode: Why does the phone still vibrate from texts in silent mode? Maybe there’s a way to turn it off in adv. settings but this should be a basic feature, esp. for a minimal phone. A simple on/off to stop all vibrating and or noise that you would want for meetings or in movies, etc. Right now I either put it in offline mode or turn it off, but that shouldn’t be necessary.
Group messaging: From what I can tell, there is no way to add someone to an existing group message. You have to start a new group message. I think this should be an option.
Autocorrect: Now I think this should be an option that could be turned on or off, but I would like a very basic auto correct option, especially for simple conjunctions “e.g. im to I’m, dont to don’t.” Typing on this phone works fine, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who makes way more typos on here than on an iphone, and it is tedious to go back and retype everything.
Duplicate contacts: Not sure if this has anything to do with the software version, but most of my contacts have unnecessary duplicates for some reason.
Oh and as a bonus it would be nice be able to record short videos withe camera and receive them in messages, but everything above first

Currently, this can be done via Adb commands (if you’re familiar with this process), however, custom notifications and sounds are on the roadmap for a future update.

Are you looking for predictive texting or more of a spellcheck option?
I have the predictive texting turned on which is helpful, but an actual autocorrect option would make texting much easier. As it is I tend to make quite a lot of typos on this phone, and because of this I have noticed I tend to simplify the kinds of messages I’m sending. For example a basic auto correct that will capitalize the beginnings of sentences, automatically correct simple words and automatically correct conjuctions like im to I’m or dont to don’t etc.
When you go to scroll up to see previous messages in a text thread, you can seldom get very far before you are automatically taken back down to the most recent messages. It would be really nice if this was fixed in the next update. Often times I’m looking to see what was said earlier in a text exchange, but can’t get to the information because it won’t let me scroll very far.
