Thanks for your patience, and for keeping the guessing-game friendly.
Youāre right that 1.5.0 has started reaching some of you. Weāre rolling it out in stages, as weāve done with previous updates: a smaller group first, so we can catch anything unexpected before it reaches the tens of thousands of Kompakts out there. If you donāt have it yet, thereās nothing wrong with your phone - your turn is coming.
Canāt give the exact date for the full rollout right now, but expect an official announcement on Monday afternoon. The release notes were meant to be up already - thereās a slight delay, but they should be live in about 12h, tomorrow, before noon (GMT+1).
@YYZ sorry youāve run into this, but since I donāt have an immediate answer, and not to hijack the thread, Iād suggest reaching out to our support, as they will be able to escalate this appropriately.

1.5.0 installed over WiFi with no SIM card without any problem. New keyboard is great, but I canāt see emojis? Anyone else?
Edit: nevermind, found them by long-pressing the return key.

@YYZ Iām sorry that youāre experiencing this issue. I see that youāre on mobile data. Is this also happening on WiFi?
I bet support doesnāt either. Literally everything with this phone has gone wrong for me.
I just tried to download the update again, but it still shows the same screen.
If this isnāt resolved within a few days, Iāll be one of the many who sold the Kompakt (if anyone would even want to buy it).
And telling from the release notes, there STILL isnāt a working spam blocker. So the long wait was mainly due to fixing the keyboard ?

No, like I said, Wifi isnāt working where I am. Besides mobile data should be more stable anyway.
I never had this problem with previous updates, they always started downloading right away. But not this time.
I clearly have internet access, I can browse, make calls and everything else. Just the update wonāt download. Ridiculous.
Iāve got the same problem. Also from mobile connection but I canāt try to update via wifi until tonight. The other times mobile connection worked just fine
Just now, almost right after my last post, I switched on the Kompakt again, but noticed that the āblackā screen lasted unusually long. Afterwards it also took much longer than usual to get to the home screen. Then I tried to download the update again, and now it works. It is downloading right now. So I canāt help but think that something was done āfrom outsideā to make this work, since the screen was black for so long. So what has Mudita done to suddenly enable the download for me ? Because I didnāt change a thing, and the long boottime was WEIRD to say the least.

Finally someone with the same problem. So itās not just me. Check my post above, I donāt know what Mudita did, but suddenly it works.
Update: the download took less than half as long as last time, and the battery didnāt get hot at all. Last time it almost started to burn.

Ok, itās installed now. But my Keyboard is set to QWERTY, how do I change it to QWERTZ ? I canāt find the settings anywhere.
Also where can one opt-out of Sentry ?

@YYZ Unfortunately, that was not on the roadmap for this release. I will ask about future updates, however, from what was updated on the roadmap of for this year, I donāt think the team is planning on it.
So the question has to be: why does Mudita keep blocking its own success ? The most logical way would be to fix problems when they arise, not according to a āroadmapā that is not rooted in reality. Iāve had this phone for about 8 or 9 months now, and havenāt been able to use it because of all the bugs, the spam, and other things. Others werenāt that patient and sold the phone. It seems Mudita enjoys the path to self-destruction.

I finally did find the option to switch keyboard layouts, so I switched to QWERTZ, but when I start typing (an SMS for example), the QWERTY keyboard comes up again. Is this already a new bug in the new update ?

It worked fine for me too when I tried again a few hours ago. Whatever the issues was, it has been solved
