Any chance of something like this for the Mudita Kompakt? I’ve loved using the device, but case support is…only from Mudita so far. I have the official Mudita case and have already noticed some tears and wear at the bottom. Would love to see more options in this space. Bummer too is that their official case material doesn’t allow for very good adhesion of MagSafe rings.

Thanks for this info! I was kinda surpised that there aren’t any other companies working on cases. Even something made of TPU like the official LP3 case and the new dumbwireless one would be amazing and much more durable. Without NFC support for either device, it would make it a lot easier for me to carry my cards. I wonder how soon they will have it completed.

Not really a surprise, the kompakt hasn’t sold a lot to gather curiosity from other brands to make cases for it. And Mudita hasn’t made any partnerships on this regard because to them more cases choices are = less cases sold by them.
The official Cad files for the LP3 model were shared by the company even before the phone was released so anybody could model their accessories or cases for the phone.
Meanwhile we have asked Mudita for this months and months ago and still nada.
Somebody from the community has shared an stl model of a case, but that’s not the same thing. I really like the case by DumbWireless for Lp3, it’s not too flashy but it’s also not boring.

It makes sense if Mudita wants to retain all aspects of the phone and accessories, as they need to make sure the company continues
I love the approach of the light company, but just cannot see how the company can continue to maintain their levels with the limited income of one niche product. I am guessing the sales of LP3 and Kompakt are in the tens of thousands at most

Sure, but sharing the cad files, supporting developers makes phone more popular and in return you don’t need to depend on case sales. With this gatekeeping approach they’re actually harming sales.
Somebody posted their order number in early August, and I was able to estimate that Kompakt is far away from selling tens of thousands.
