DigiD is an identification application for the residents of the Netherlands. Most organizations use DigiD validation to log you in. Most organizations who asks you to log-in with DigiD do not offer an alternative logging in method. Of course it is not mandatory to have this, you can have a phone number and get an SMS as your 2 factor authentication. DigiD app offers a faster method.
App works as intended, DigiD gives you a code, you enter the code in the login screen, login screen presents you a QR code, you scan it via the DigiD app, then DigiD app gives a prompt as “You are trying to log-in to MyTaxAuthority” (in dutch) for example, you click allow and you log in.
I have encountered nothing and I’ve used it for some time, I’ve used it today at least 5 times, works like how it was working on my iPhone.
DigiD does not generate notifications so it’s not necessary to talk about notifications.
