I currently have ringing in my ear because of the automatic loud lock sound (Kompakt). I was listening to a long WhatsApp message on speaker and because it is so quiet I had to turn the volume up all the way and I had the bottom of the phone next to my ear. I did NOT want/intend to turn up the phone system volume (ringing, clicking), however. Then the phone locked automatically and just about burst an eardrum. Talk about taking me out of the moment! So, I see at least two problems here: 1) The phone should not automatically lock like that when an app is in use. I know WhatsApp is sideloaded but using it is a fact of life at this point, especially for “global” users (I’m in LATAM). 2) Using the volume buttons for audio should not change the system volume.

@alexandrafw Thank you for letting us know. I am going to pass this on to our team. I was actually not aware that the lock sound could be modified by the volume controls. I will definitely ask our team about this.
