This may be a basic Q (or I may be missing something obvious), but is there a way to connect the phone to the computer w/o having it charge?

@mrm That’s an interesting question. You might need a specific cable for this. I will ask our team about this. May I ask my you’re interested in doing this? Maybe they can have another solution for you.
It is not possible to connect the phone to the computer and not charge it from the PC - that’s how I think most phones works

I did see the later post that it cannot be done. You did ask re my reasoning - and it is basically that I only like to charge the batter between 40 and 80 so when outside those areas I would still like to be able to connect. This happens once in a while (because the batter lasts so long) so just wondered.

that is just what my tech dept told me to do - that may be what they are gtg at, but I can’t be sure
