Honestly this is frustrating, I tried using bluetooth to get music onto my Kompakt and it does not work, this is actually very frustrating having to take all these extra steps to do soemthing SIMPLE, I have a photo on my kompakt that I can’t get off the damn thing, I don’t have my windows work laptop because I have left that company, so all I have is my macbook, very annoyed, I have tried the other options, macdroid manager etc and that is not working either
I’m sorry you are struggling with this and it seems very frustrating, but connecting the phone to your MacBook with USB and using macdroid should give you a window than let’s you “mount” your android device then you should be able to have the MK internal storage open. Try to find some YouTube videos or something but it works so I’m not sure what you’re doing incorrectly
I think I figured it out but when I put a song in the music file on the kompakt I see it on my laptop (kompakt is connected) but I don’t see the same song on the actual kompakt when i go to the music file, I think its cause I am using the free version, I am not paying to use this
I dunno, I’ve been able to move videos and pictures to my lp3 from my Mac and from the lp3 to the mac with the free version
Dealing with the same stuff. $35 for a lifetime subscription isn’t the worst thing ever, but I really don’t want to pay for a feature that was the easiest thing ever with the LP2. Might just have to bite the bullet unfortunately ![]()
Yeah with the LP2 the infrastructure set up is so much better, can add music, podcasts so easily, this is a mess so far with the Kompakt
@anon7028788 I wish I could help, but you know me & apple- I’m apple illiterate LOL Maybe an SD card could help?
Yeah no worries I will figure it out, not a major thing, I still LOVE this phone
OpenMTP is free, why are people still mentioning MacDroid.
OpenMTP works on Mac to transferr anything on the Kompakt (you have to click the Plug icon to change to Legacy Mode).
I tried that it is not working for me, keeps saying my phone has crashed or something like that
It wasn’t working for me either at first. Did you try clicking the power plug icon?
Legacy mode > Connect your phone → Refresh button
p.s There were some issues with OneDrive, GoogleDrive and similar apps causing conflicts, so try quitting those if it doesn’t work.
Yup I did exactly what your pic shows lol, but I will try your other suggestions as well thanks!
Does not work, I get the message Android device is either busy or not connected, and I quit any apps that were open no luck at all, do I haev to change anything is USB preferences on the kompakt? right now its set to this device-Usb controlled by, and use usb for - File transfer
again, sorry you are struggling with this. Remember this is a universal Android issue with Mac communication and not a problem with the kompakt itself per se. Mine pretty easily connected via MacDroid (free version) and I am able to move files back and forth (again on the free version, i dont think you actually have to pay). Maybe try ABD connection instead of MTP, play around with which device controls the USB. Its pretty straight forward unless your specific kompakt has a defect
All good, honestly not a big deal, I will just wait till the Mudita Center is compatible with mac, at this rate, summer of 2027 ![]()
I used to get that as well, but reading in other forums it seems an issue related with apps that have some kind of syncing functions. But after quitting dropbox, onedrive, and garmin express and similar apps in activity monitor and restarting both the phone and the laptop it started working on Legacy mode and I haven’t had any issues after that.
One other app to work is LocalSend, it works wirelessly. But you have to install it on MuditaKompakt and then in your pc/mac/linux. I’ve used this on my previous device to send music.
Would it not be possible to transfer music from my macbook to kompakt via blue tooth? The mac has a blue tooth transfer, think I will give that a try
Nope that does not work either, honestly I don’t understand why the pure out of the box has no problem connecting with macbook and mudita center and this phone is released and people with macs are left with this frustration. It seems to always be 1 step forward 2 steps back with Mudita phones, still love the phone but not being able to simply transfer a music file which I need to focus at the library is very FRUSTRATING
The pure was not running android iirc, the kompakt is running android. This is a problem with all phones that run android. Now you understand (:
I haven’t tried to send music via bluetooth in 15 years so I don’t know that.
LocalSend works similar to AirDrop, but you have to install the software in both devices.
