Blog: MuditaOS K 1.6 Brings Many New Improvements for Kompakt

@iKamil: Mudita has paused the 1.6 rollout due to a needed hotfix that presumably will appear in 1.6.1.

Something else about the update, it has ruined the nice setup of my Home Screen.

The Little Prince has dots on his head (where not here before) and Ā« stay inspired Ā» has now appeared at the bottom, on the prince’s planet. What for? :grimacing:

I believe those are features of inkOS and can both be turned off. Check the settings

You mean the update has changed my InkOs settings?

That is very unlikely but still possible. You can definitely turn the quote and the page dots off though.

Thanks once again to you.

This where effectively InkOs settings.

Can’t figure out how this happened.

For those who managed to update before the rollout was paused - did this actually fix the issue where the weather app wouldn’t update automatically?

@mbrailer Welcome to the Mudita Forum. We’re glad you’re here. Please check the post above with the info about the update:

Please add the functionality to quickly block people who text you. Either by clicking and holding the text message (and a menu pops up) in the inbox or when you click no the text message in the 3 dot menu. Please do this it would be life changing

Any ETA on when the rollout will resume?

My primary preference would be native support for Signal messages and calls.

Another thing: while the device is in standby mode, notifications could be displayed

on the screen without requiring me to unlock it.

I would also appreciate Finnish language support for navigation and the Maps app.

This would make the phone much more convenient for Finnish users.

The original update will not resume until the hotfix is out. At this time, we don’t have an ETA, but our team is working to get it done as soon as possible.

You can sideload Signal on Mudita Kompakt it works perfectly well. Having native support is a bit more complicated because Signal would need to give us their permission to use their servers.

Another thing: while the device is in standby mode, notifications could be displayed on the screen without requiring me to unlock it.

I will ask the team if this is included in the lock screen customization that is planned for a future update.

I will ask our team if including the Finnish language is something they are planning.

Not disagreeing with your request for OS K support for signal, but have you tried Katapult yet?

I use it with Signal (downloaded directly from their website), and also with MollyIM. My notifications appear on the lock screen.

Hi, I’m still seeing 1.5.0 as latest version… Are the batches of 1.6 still rolling out? Anything I can do to enforce new version?

Regards from The Netherlands.

Welcome! No, per posts by @urszula, Mudita paused the deployment of MuditaOS K 1.6.0 so as to address two problems discovered soon after the deployment started.
