A small issue that I’ve noticed, which I don’t think it was there in 1.1.1.

When I turn on the offline+ switch, of course it works as it should. When I turn it back on in the morning, it won’t engage the WIFI setting. So I have to turn on the WIFi manually.

It’s not a big issue, it’s just one extra button to press. But it would be good to be wired back, if it was On it should turn back on.

For bluetooth for example if it was on, it turns it On automatically.

I’m still on 1.1.1 and can confirm WiFi returns to being on when I toggle the offline switch on and off.

@urszula The issue is not that is not connecting automatically. Is that it’s not turning wifi on at all after turning the Offline Switch off. (but as you can see it’s turning the bluetooth on correctly).

I can’t replicate this on my end. Works just fine. WiFi gets properly reactivated once I reconnect out of Offline+.

@felensis Did you get the camera not opening bug?
Because I think this might have appeared when the camera issue appeared.

Since the Update the Camera doesn’t work it says " System - UI this App doesn’t work any more "
Today I used the Navigation App for a walking and it says “drive”

No, haven’t encountered this bug so far. Hadn’t the SMS bug so far as well.

Thank you for this video. Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce this on two different Mudita Kompakt phones. FOR ME, once the Offline+ mode is OFF, both Bluetooth & WiFi turn on & re-connect.
I will have to ask our team as to what could be happening in your case.
This is what it looks like on my end.

Thanks for the reply. I suspect you didn’t have the camera permission issue either?

Not a big issue, just thought might help them track the unwiring of OfflineSwitch with camera permission that some users had after the update (or me a week after the update) and I suspect the wifi unwiring from the offline switch might have started after the Camera losing permission

@gezimos I’ve passed this on to the team & I am waiting for them to reply. It appears to be a bug. And, I have not experienced the camera bug yet.

I like for music tracks to display the track or album art rather than the default :musical_note: image, in black and white when played if the music file has an image set. Plus the addition of randomise playback button. Probably already included in the music player enhancements. I like to see the artwork and will know the song more via the track image. I prefer random playback of the tracks.

It probably has already been suggested but the ability to have a background image display on the front display when not in use or on open. It is just more pleasing to look at than a blank white canvas. I don’t think it is more distracting and more personalising the phone.

Oops I think I accidentally deleted my comment so reposting it:
I really wish we had an option to disable the red LED light that comes on with low battery. It bothers my eyes since I can see it visibly flicker. It comes on at a percentage where the phone still has lots more to go before it dies and is annoying because I feel like I have to constantly keep this thing charged to avoid that light from coming on. Its kinda pointless too because if your low battery why would you want a LED lit at all times using power?

Would also be cool to see media controls added to the quick menu to be able to quickly skip or pause songs.

Hi @urszula and Mudita Kompakt Community,

Commenting here because it’s the latest update thread and I just want to share a few notes for the Mudita team now that I’ve used the Kompakt for a few months and explored the update:

  1. Appreciate the changes, especially to music. Still having trouble using the stock keyboard and maps consistently but I’ll keep trying with each iteration.
  2. Since 1.2.0, I can no longer see who is in a group thread in my text chain. Tapping that menu option does nothing. I think it worked before and I know changes were made to SMS so maybe something inadvertently affected this.
  3. Pocket dialing is much better. I haven’t pocket-dialed emergency services in a few months!
  4. Files: An example - I added the Greek keyboard to the Futo Keyboard (so this should not be Mudita’s problem lol). I’d like to add a Greek Dictionary, but I can only add music, picture, e-book/pdfs, or apk files to my Kompakt. Could this be opened to allow for more file types to be loaded onto the phone or it’s SD storage?
  5. Phone numbers - The number remains in the typing area after a call is completed, so you have to backspace through it to type a new number in. Would be nice if this could delete automatically or all at once. (if it can pls let me know.)
  6. I have not been able to scan any QR codes. Again, I might be false remembering that I could do it before, but nothing appears now when I hold a code up to the camera.

Thanks again for a cool and thoughtful device. Have loved plugging headphones and aux cables into my phone!

I did an international trip to Canada with my Kompakt and will be going to Greece and Austria in a few weeks. Been a great companion so far, thanks!

Just to update you on one of the points you mentioned: full group message support is planned for a later fall update. In the meantime, we’re also preparing the September update, which includes various fixes and improvements. You can always check what’s coming next on our Roadmap page:
