To be honest, this update doesn’t change anything for me except it made the music player worse. The playlist feature is nearly unusable and takes a lot of screen estate ( I was expecting only a “play .pls file” feature, not that thing).
IMHO, you completely missed the expectation here. A simple “play by folders” (like on every mp3 player or car for the last 20 years) would have made the music player “simple but good enough”. Here, we are stuck with a very prominent feature which seems to be useful only in some very niche cases (so not minimal at all)
Everything else looks untouched. The fingerprint behavior is a bit odd at first but, at least, consistent (which was not the case before) so I will probably get used to it.

I’m happy to see the bluetooth settings fixed.
The only 2 things that would make this perfect for me would be
- show caldav calendars in the default calendar (this does not mean to add synching, davx5 can do that, but just for the calendar to look at Android’s default calendar database like other calendars do)
- adding do not disturb support - I would like the phone to automatically be silent during some hours.
Other than that I’m very happy with the kompakt and my least favorite bug was solved. Thanks!

the issue on my side still exist, no Volte…putting the mudita kompakt on hold again.

Can we get the same scrolling behavior like settings app has but for SMS app instead of smooth scrolling? Would be nice to have a 3rd fingerprint unlock option that unlocks instantly after pressing the power button. I originally thought this update brought that but seems you have to take the thumb off the button after pressing and then touch it again to unlock. Restoring accessibility options also is a must, I hope that can happen soon.

I must admit that I am now apprehensive about every update. I am concerned that some important function will no longer work as usual (most recently the SMS bug) and that I will not be able to use the Kompakt properly for several weeks or months until the next update. The Kompakt is my only cell phone that I use every day and not just a gadget that I use occasionally.
Even though I’m a real “Mudita fan” and really support the idea and philosophy behind it, I now feel like a beta tester.
In my opinion, the phone was released too early. The pre-installed apps and functions simply have to work when the phone is delivered. The fact that the keyboard didn’t work properly, the alarm clock didn’t wake me up reliably, and the music player is useless without a folder structure is very unfortunate. And if it weren’t Mudita… with any other manufacturer, I would have sent the phone back and would not have returned to this manufacturer so quickly.
And as someone else wrote here in the forum, errors can always occur during an update, but then you have to stop the update and fix the error as quickly as possible. And not with the next update, which will be released in a few weeks. The SMS bug, for example, should have been given absolute priority and a fix should have been provided as quickly as possible. Instead, we read here that we should just delete our SMS conversations when they get too long. That’s just not acceptable.
I’m really hoping for the 1.3 update, but as I said, I’m a little worried.
And I think that when the music player finally supports a folder structure and the alarm clock starts ringing reliably at some point, I probably won’t update again anytime soon so as not to jeopardize the functioning state. As sad as that is.
Unless you offer the option to downgrade to a previous version.

Great that the bluetooth function reconnects my headphones again. Unfortunately my camera doesn’t work anymore since the update! Does anyone else have that problem?

It has to do with Developer Options & Camera access
If it happens again, happens, try this:
Go to System → Developer options → Privacy and toggle the “Camera access” radio button.

I agree, same with some other things listed for future updates. Very frusterating as it wouldn’t take them long at all to implement. Just seems like a roadmap that was created to look as if they have lots of upcoming updates, spreading basic things out into the next year that 100% could be added in their next update easily…

I haven’t switched to the 1.2 update yet (because of the known bugs). What’s the situation now? I keep getting notifications that an update is available, namely 1.2.0. Will I also get a notification when 1.3.0 is available, or will I not see it because I haven’t updated to 1.2 yet? If so, how will I know that the 1.3.0 update is available for me?

I love the revamped music app. It’s clean and works well. I don’t get all the hate.

You’ll need to update to 1.2.0 first before u can see or update to 1.3.0
